Job Title: Cambridge Coordinator Reports to: Head of Campus (Cambridge) Direct Reports: Key Stage Leaders, Heads of Department and Teaching Staff (through the academic reporting structure) Functional relationships: Head of Cambridge, Teaching Staff, Administrative Staff, Human Resources, Admissions, Finance, Communications, Parents, Cambridge International, Ministry of Education and the wider school community Location: Nairobi, Kenya COMPANY INFORMATION Our client is a leading Christian private school committed to nurturing learners from early years through to A Level.

The Cambridge Coordinator will provide academic and operational leadership for the Cambridge division by supporting the Head of Cambridge in the day-to-day management of the school.

The role is responsible for maintaining high academic standards, promoting effective curriculum delivery, strengthening staff performance and supporting positive student outcomes. The successful candidate will work closely with teaching staff, parents and school leadership to maintain a nurturing, Chris-centred learning environment while promoting operational efficiency and continuous improvement.

The role also serves as the designated deputy to the Head of Cambridge and assumes leadership responsibility in the Head's absence.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Academic Leadership and Curriculum Delivery Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the Cambridge curriculum across the school. Monitor lesson planning, curriculum delivery and assessment practices to maintain high academic standards. Support teachers through coaching, mentoring and classroom observations to improve instructional quality.

Coordinate curriculum planning and promote consistency across year groups and subject areas. Monitor student academic progress and recommend interventions that improve learning outcomes. Promote the effective use of educational technology, including Google Classroom and other digital learning platforms. School Operations and Leadership Support the Head of Cambridge in the day-to-day management of the Cambridge division.

Assume responsibility for the leadership of the Cambridge division in the absence of the Head of Cambridge. Coordinate daily school operations to promote efficient and effective delivery of academic programs. Support the implementation of school policies, procedures and strategic initiatives. Contribute to the continued development of the Cambridge division as it expands into a standalone campus.

People Leadership and Staff Development Provide leadership and guidance to teachers, Key Stage Leaders and Heads of Department. Promote high standards of professionalism, accountability and collaboration across teaching teams. Support staff performance management, coaching and professional development initiatives. Promote staff engagement and contribute to employee retention through effective leadership and relationship building.

Support disciplinary processes in line with school policies where required. Student Experience and Parent Engagement Promote a safe, supportive and nurturing learning environment for all students. Support the implementation of student discipline and safeguarding policies. Engage parents on academic progress, student welfare and school initiatives.

Coordinate parent meetings, workshops, school events and other community engagement activities. Respond appropriately to academic concerns and contribute to positive parent relationships. Compliance, Administration and Quality Assurance Support compliance with Cambridge International standards, Ministry of Education requirements and safeguarding policies.

Coordinate academic reporting, documentation and school records. Support school inspections, quality assurance reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. Prepare academic reports and provide updates to the Head of Cambridge where required. Maintain effective communication across the Cambridge division and support collaboration with other departments.

MEASURABLE OUTCOME Maintain high standards of curriculum delivery and academic performance. Support improvements in student achievement and learning outcomes. Promote positive staff engagement and contribute to improved staff retention. Maintain effective school operations during the absence of the Head of Cambridge. Strengthen parent satisfaction through responsive communication and relationship management.

Maintain compliance with Cambridge International standards, Ministry of Education regulations and safeguarding requirements. Support the successful growth and operational development of the Cambridge division. Develop the leadership capability required to progress into the Head of Cambridge role.

Requirements

Bachelor's Degree in Education is required. A Master's Degree in Education or Educational Leadership will be an added advantage. TSC Registration is mandatory. Cambridge curriculum training and professional certifications will be an added advantage. Approximately 10 years of teaching and academic leadership experience within Cambridge, international or private schools is preferred.

Experience in a leadership position such as Deputy Head, Academic Coordinator, Head of Department or an equivalent role. Strong understanding of Cambridge curriculum standards, lesson planning, assessment and school operations. Experience supervising teaching teams and supporting staff development. Experience engaging with parents and managing academic concerns.

Strong technology literacy, including experience using Google Classroom and other educational technology platforms. Excellent communication, organizational and stakeholder management skills. Practicing Christian whose values align with the mission and culture of the school.
