Longship is a third-party logistics company specializing in over the road truckloads of fresh, frozen, and dry shipments. We excel in providing uncompromising customer service by guaranteeing our clients that their product will be transported in a safe and timely manner. We are currently hiring for the position of Account Executive .

Responsibilities

Prospect and develop strong professional relationships—via phone and e-mails — to sell freight transportation brokerage services Identify, pursue, and close new business opportunities while growing existing customer accounts Develop and maintain customer relationships through proactive outreach, account management, and business development activities Provide full cycle customer service from contract to delivery Understand the customers’ shipping needs and negotiate rates Contact carriers/trucking companies to find the most efficient shipping option, provide order tracking and delivery confirmation Manage multiple priorities and maintain the flow of business information with a sense of urgency Other duties as required or assigned Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree preferred Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to build and grow a book of business Comfortable making outbound sales calls and engaging prospective customers Aptitude and appreciation for selling in a fast-paced environment Strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and follow-through skills Strong work ethic with a team mentality No logistics experience required Schedule: Full-time, on-site — Lexington, KY Monday
