• Richmond, VA, Position Type: Full Time, Education Level: 2 Year Degree, Salary Range: $31.00 - $35.00Hourly, Travel Percentage: None, Job Shift: Day, Job Category: Health Care, Position Description This position is responsible for directing Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) in providing quality nursing care to the residents of the Masonic Home of Virginia. A minimum of one year of experience is preferred. Previous healthcare experience and a general knowledge of nursing care are preferred, particularly experience in a long-term care or continuing care retirement community setting. Experience working with and serving the elderly is also preferred. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required to establish and maintain effective relationships with residents, staff, and healthcare providers. Physical Requirements The position requires the ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, walk, push, pull, and lift, as well as move throughout the work area and the Home to accomplish assigned tasks. The employee must be able to express and exchange ideas through spoken communication, conveying information to others in an audible, accurate, and, when necessary, timely manner. The position also requires the ability to perform repetitive motions with the wrists, hands, and fingers. Visual acuity is required to read, prepare, and analyze written materials and other information necessary to perform the duties of the position. : Qualifications Previous experience in healthcare with a general knowledge of nursing care preferably in a long term care or continuing care retirement community setting serving the elderly. Licensure: Licensed as a Licensed Practical Nurse by the Virginia Department of Health Professions; Current CPR certified.
