Research Analyst (Japanese-speaking)

We’re looking for a curious and motivated Research Analyst to join DC Byte and play a key role in delivering insights across the Japanese data centre market. This is an entry-level, client-facing role where you’ll quickly build expertise, contribute to high-quality research, and help shape how we communicate insights to some of the most influential companies shaping digital infrastructure in the APAC region.

From day one, you’ll be encouraged to take ownership of your work, contribute ideas, and present findings to both internal teams and external clients. You’ll also have opportunities to travel to Japan and across the APAC region for research, client engagement, and industry events. Research and track market activity, key players, and trends across APAC data centre markets Gather and verify information from multiple sources with strong attention to detail Analyse findings and translate them into clear, structured insights Support the creation of client deliverables, including reports, briefings, and presentations Contribute to client calls, presentations, and discussions Monitor industry news and developments to keep insights current and relevant Collaborate with team members on ongoing research and special projects Recent graduate (or soon-to-be graduate) with at least B1-level Japanese A naturally curious mindset and genuine interest in understanding how markets work Strong attention to detail and pride in producing accurate, high-quality work Self-driven with the ability to manage tasks and take initiative Clear and confident communication skills (both written and verbal) Comfortable speaking in front of others or willing to develop presentation skills quickly Positive, outgoing attitude and eagerness to engage with colleagues and clients Experience in client-facing environments is a plus Interest in real estate or infrastructure is helpful but not required S$51,000 per year starting salary + 10% discretionary bonus 25 days annual leave (excluding bank holidays), increasing to up to 29 days with length of service Christmas Week closure Private health insurance, incl.
