The Responsible Person (RP) is responsible for maintaining regulatory compliance and quality oversight of our wholesale distribution operations in Malta, safeguarding the integrity of our medicines and acting as the key link between our supply chain and the regulators who protect patient safety. Ensure compliance with the Wholesale Dealer's Authorisation (WDA) and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements Maintain and continuously improve our Quality Management System (QMS), keeping the business in a permanent state of inspection readiness Oversee audits of the QMS and carry out independent checks to confirm its ongoing suitability Maintain robust records evidencing compliance with cGDP, and prepare, review and approve SOPs to keep the QMS optimal Deliver and, where necessary, prepare GDP training for staff involved in distribution activities Qualify and approve GDP suppliers and distributors Decide the fate of damaged, returned, quarantined, counterfeit or falsified stock, and notify the Competent Authorities where required Lead investigations into potential product defects, and manage recall operations with distributors and Competent Authorities Maintain thorough knowledge of our products, their licensing conditions, sites of manufacture and supply chains Act as deputy Designated Person for APIs, in line with the GDP Guidelines for API Distribution Promote the highest standards of quality compliance and contribute to a positive quality culture across the organisation Qualifications Registered pharmacist, authorised by the Malta Medicines Authority to act as Responsible Person Currently registered with the Maltese Authorities as a Responsible Person Experience Experience as Responsible Person for WDA with Marketing Authorisation Holder (MAH) experience of operational GDP activities Demonstrable track record of regulatory compliance in an RP capacity Experience hosting inspections by Competent Authorities Experience working with third party WDA’s Experience of release processes Lead Auditor trained Core Competencies Strong, agile thinker who can adapt to situations of high-speed change Problem solver who can work through complex issues Growth mindset and willingness to learn Integrity and high ethical standards Effective team player with strong collaboration skills Desire and willingness to achieve goals together and respect the views of others Results orientated and accountable for actions Capable of lateral thinking, with excellent written and spoken communication skills Adaptable to various working environments What We Offer Competitive salary We understand that productivity requires balance, so we offer office-based contracts and allow flexibility on locations of work when required and appropriate.
