Job description
Job Title: Industrial Se wing Machine Operator Location: N Preston St.19104 We are looking for an Industrial Sewist to join our growing production team and contribute to the completion of our quality products.
Job Summary
This role is responsible for altering, creating, repairing and restyling our Pilates equipment accessories using industrial sewing machines.
Key Responsibilities
Fabric Preparation Measure, cut, and prepare fabrics based on project specifications Work with a variety of upholstery materials, including vinyl, and canvas Ensure precise alignment and pattern matching during fabric preparation Sewing and Assembly Operate industrial sewing machines to create high-quality seams for equ i pment components like mats, pillows, and cushions Assemble fabric components for upholstery project s Incorporate piping, and other fasteners into designs Customization Create and sew custom fabric components, such as intricate patterns and unique design s Adjust sewing techniques to suit different materials and textures Maintenance and Quality Contro l Inspect completed projects for durability, accuracy, and client satisfaction Perform necessary repairs and adjustments to achieve high-quality results Provide input on fabric selection and sewing methods to enhance project outcomes Skills : Meticulous attention to detail and problem-solving skills Creativity and ability to work on custom projects Strong organizational skills and time management Excellent communication skills with the a ptness to work with team members to meet project deadlines and specification s Qualifications: Minimum of 2 years of experience in upholstery and sewing Proven expertise in handling marine grade upholstery, vinyl, no tions a nd tools Strong ability to measure, cut, and assemble fabrics with precision Proficiency in piping, a plus Experience with industrial sewing machines and upholstery equipment High school level education or vocational training Working Conditions: The role may require s itting for extended periods and working with various machines and tools.
Personal protective equipment (PPE) will be provided as needed and must be worn as required .
