Registration / Title Clerk

REGISTRATION/TITLE CLERK Charlie Clark Auto Group seeking an experienced Automotive Title Clerk to join our dealership accounting team. If you excel in a fast-paced dealership environment and have strong attention to detail with title processing experience, we want to speak with you. We are looking for a motivated professional who takes pride in accuracy, organization, and meeting deadlines.

Position Summary

• Processes all new and used vehicles for registration in the state in which they will be titled.
• Prepares tax and title documents.
• Submits all legal transfer work to the Department of Motor Vehicles.
• Research status of registrations as requested from customers and/or sales staff
• Verifies that funds have been collected and the correct lienholder paid off before processing title applications.
• Checks for accuracy in the application and ensures that all information is complete.
• Reviews, corrects and explains items on Tax Title and License schedules
• Maintains a system to verify titles.
• Compiles and maintains a complete list of all outstanding title work. Reports to management on the status of any missing or problem titles and provides status of outstanding titles to your manager.
• Cross-trains others to handle title clerk daily responsibilities.
• Maintains a professional appearance and a neat work area.
• Other tasks as assigned.

Education

and/or Experience High School or General Education Degree (GED); and six months to one year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Two to four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
