Job Summary

The Accounts Receivable Clerk supports the Finance and Accounting team at Stateside Brands by ensuring customer invoices, payments, and outstanding receivables are accurately recorded, reconciled, and collected in a timely manner. This role is responsible for maintaining customer accounts, processing cash receipts, monitoring outstanding balances, resolving billing discrepancies, and supporting relationships with distributors, customers, and internal teams.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, organized, and possesses strong analytical and communication skills. This position is hybrid, working on-site 4 days per week at our headquarters in Philadelphia, PA.

Key Responsibilities

Process customer invoices, credit memos, and billing adjustments accurately and timely. Apply customer payments and reconcile cash receipts, bank activity, and customer accounts. Monitor AR aging and follow up on outstanding customer balances. Investigate and resolve billing discrepancies, deductions, short payments, and unapplied cash.

Communicate with customers, distributors, and internal teams to resolve invoicing and payment issues. Track and reconcile customer credits, deductions, and other account adjustments. Maintain accurate customer records, payment terms, and receivable documentation. Support month-end close through reconciliations, aging reviews, and reporting.

Ensure compliance with internal controls and established AR procedures. Assist with audits, reporting, and other accounting and finance initiatives as needed.

Qualifications

5+ years of accounts receivable, billing, collections, bookkeeping, or general accounting experience preferred. Strong attention to detail, analytical abilities, and organizational skills. Comfortable working with customer invoices, cash applications, reconciliations, spreadsheets, and accounting systems. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets.

Experience with Net. Suite or similar ERP/accounting systems is a plus. Ability to manage multiple deadlines and prioritize responsibilities in a fast-paced environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to professionally communicate with customers and internal departments. Ability to research and resolve discrepancies independently while maintaining accurate financial records.

Ability to handle confidential financial and customer information professionally. Experience in the beverage, consumer products, distribution, or manufacturing industry is a plus.

Compensation

$55,000-$65,000 USD. Individual compensation packages are based on various factors unique to each candidate, including skill set, experience, and qualifications. The salary range refers to base salary only and is not inclusive of the total compensation package.
