Mill Room Operator

Job Description: The Processing Mill Operator provides Mars Petcare with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely Batch/mix raw materials to high quality product; efficiently receive, test, analyze, and process raw ingredients. As a Packaging Operator provides Mars Petcare with the knowledge and skills to effectively and safely package the converted raw materials to high quality finished product according to Quality standards and production schedule.

This is to provide our customers with the proper product at the appropriate destination in a timely and cost effective manner. What are we looking for?

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent plus 1-2 years experience (manufacturing environment preferred) Knowledge/Skills/Abilities: Ability and willingness to develop and manage self, demonstrate self directed workgroup leadership and contribute to efficiency, quality, and cost optimization with minimal supervision. Ability to lift 50 lbs.

Ability to operate forklift in a safe manner. Ability to work rotating shifts under stressful conditions such as heat, cold, high and/or confined spaces and have full mobility with ability to climb ladders and stairs. What will be your key responsibilities? Sampling of all incoming raw materials Visually inspect incoming commodities and take appropriate action on issues such as infestation, pests, mold, or any other quality issue Perform required quality testing FOSS Analyzer and lab equipment operation Receiving and Quality systems database interfacing Ensure adherence to all site food safety and security practices Actively address food safety and quality concerns.

Unloading of all incoming raw materials Major bin strategy coordination Hardstock grinder management Batching System Operation Meet cut-off and tonnes requirements Maintain a clean and safe work environment that promotes associate safety and product integrity Improve operations through individual and group problem solving Actively address food safety and quality concerns Other duties as assigned What can you expect from Mars?
