Job description

Linde Corporation is currently seeking a reliable and motivated Construction Safety Observer to become a part of our team. Qualifications

  • Strong background and experience in construction

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.

  • OSHA 30-Hour Construction Safety Certification required.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with excellent attention to detail.

  • Ability to multitask, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively with minimal supervision.

  • Willingness and ability to travel to multiple construction sites as required.

  • Ability to work independently while maintaining effective communication with project teams, contractors, and key stakeholders.

  • Valid driver's license and a good driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct daily safety walks and observations at assigned construction sites.

  • Evaluate the completeness and effectiveness of contractor hazard assessments, including Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), Good Catch programs, and other applicable safety documentation.

  • Identify safety compliance issues and potential hazards and promptly communicate observations, concerns, and non-conformances to responsible individuals and key stakeholders.

  • Monitor construction activities for compliance with applicable safety requirements, project specifications, and established safety procedures.

  • Prepare and maintain Site-Specific Safety Plans (SSSPs) in accordance with project manual requirements.

  • Assist project teams and contractors in identifying opportunities to improve overall site safety and compliance.

  • Support client safety initiatives and other safety-related activities as requested.

  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of site safety observations, findings, and follow-up activities.

Requirements

  • Pass pre-employment, random, post-accident, and reasonable suspicion drug screens

  • Provide valid US work authorization documents for E-Verify

  • Satisfactory results of pre-employment background check results

  • Valid driver's license with clean driving record is preferred

  • Pre-employment medical fit-for-duty test
