IT Disaster Management Expert

IT Disaster Management Specialist At Virgo, we deliver high-value IT services and embed core technical expertise into leading enterprise projects. We are currently looking for an IT Disaster Management Expert to join an international initiative with one of our major retail partners. In this role, you will be the backbone of operational resilience, ensuring that business-critical products and services can withstand and swiftly recover from any disruption.

You will define recovery strategies, coordinate hands-on DR tests, and align RTO/RPO objectives across cross-functional engineering, security, and product teams.

Responsibilities

Coordinate IT continuity and disaster recovery activities across business-critical products and services. Maintain and regularly update recovery documentation to ensure effective incident response. Plan, coordinate, and evaluate disaster recovery and restore tests, driving continuous improvement. Collaborate with product owners, security, and governance teams to define and validate recovery requirements (RTO/RPO).

Support Information Security Management System (ISMS) activities throughout the service lifecycle. Monitor compliance, report recovery readiness, and identify gaps with actionable improvement plans. Investigate findings from tests and incidents, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate remediation activities.

Requirements

Strong communication and stakeholder management skills. Analytical mindset with excellent problem-solving and prioritization abilities. Good understanding of IT infrastructure, including servers and networking. Knowledge of information security principles and operational processes. Proactive, solution-oriented approach with the ability to work across multiple teams.

Nice to have

Experience with security controls and risk management. Familiarity with ISO/IEC 27001, NIS2, or similar business continuity and resilience frameworks.
