• Panorama City, CA, Position Type: Part Time, Salary Range: $58.00 - $63.00Hourly, Job Shift: Any, REPORTING: The Occupational Therapist reports to the Director of Rehabilitation. JOB DUTIES: Basic knowledge of physical medicine, occupational therapy modalities, anatomy and physiology. Provides assessment, treatment and rehabilitative services to patients who have experienced injury or disability disease. Provides residents with appropriate treatment. Adheres to standards of physical medicine practice. Ability to observe and evaluate treatment effect, discusses observations with staff, Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant, Physician, and Director of Rehabilitation. Responsible for the monitoring and documentation of resident treatment and response. Assists with formulation of a teaching plan based upon identified learning needs and assesses effectiveness of learning, family is included in teaching as appropriate, staff and Physician are apprised of conclusions. Meets current documentation standards and policies. Adheres to facility’s Policy and Procedure.

Qualifications

REQUIREMENTS

1. CPR Certification (required).
2. Licensed Occupational Therapist (required). 3. 1-2 years experience in long term care preferred.
3. Good physical and mental health.
4. Must be able to perform any physical requirement of the position which includes lifting dead weight or unassisted weight of 50 pounds.
5. Is capable of following oral and written instructions.
6. Have training, knowledge and experience which allows for general supervision of responsibilities.
