Blade Recruitment is looking to fill permanent Mechanical Engineer jobs for our client, a nationwide provider of maintenance engineering services. Working at an industrial site based in Birmingham, B30. Salary up to £35k, working M-F 7.30-4pm or shifts 7.30am-7.30pm, 4 on 4 off. JOB DUTIES Carrying out maintenance, servicing and repairs to mechanical equipment.
Assembly and installation of pipe sections, fittings and fixtures for steam, gas, hot and cold-water systems, heating systems, cooling systems, sprinkler systems, drains and drainage systems, industrial production, processing systems and equipment. Steam boiler maintenance and repairs of motors, pumps, belt drives and conveyors.
JOB REQUIREMENTS Preferred candidates will be fully qualified in a mechanical trade or completed apprenticeship. Knowledge of pipework and experience on steam lines and boilers. Ideal candidates will have knowledge of the use of welding equipment. Someone who has worked in a similar Maintenance Engineering job role.
