Job description
Consultant, Product Management Join Dell Technologies’ Unstructured Storage Team and help define the full-stack infrastructure powering the next generation of artificial intelligence. Working across the Power. Scale, Object. Scale, Lightning File System, and Exascale Storage portfolios, you will collaborate with the world’s leading AI organizations to translate ambitious goals into scalable, production-ready solutions.
This role is ideal for someone energized by emerging technology and comfortable shaping both the strategic product vision and the detailed solution architecture required to bring it to life. What you’ll achieve: You will operate from 30k feet down to ground level—evangelizing Dell’s vision for AI infrastructure, whiteboarding architectures with customers, and diving into the technical details of storage, networking, and compute.
You will guide customers through complex or still-evolving requirements, evaluate tradeoffs, and develop complete rack-level designs that account for performance, capacity, resiliency, connectivity, power, and operational needs. Success requires equal parts technical depth, curiosity, customer empathy, and the ability to create clarity where the path forward is not yet fully defined.
Join us to do the best work of your career and make a profound social impact as a Consultant on our Product Management team Seattle, WA or Santa Clara, CA. You will: Own product area backlogs and requirements; prioritize for impact. Prototype, experiment, and validate hypotheses with customers. Plan launches and coordinate cross-functional readiness.
Ensure analytics, accessibility, and performance standards. Take the first step towards your dream career Every Dell Technologies team member brings something unique to the table. Here’s what we are looking for with this role: Essential Requirements Hands-on experience designing or deploying AI, machine learning, or high-performance computing infrastructure Understanding of AI data pipelines, including data ingestion, preparation, training, checkpointing, inference, and long-term retention Strong knowledge of scale-out file, object, and distributed storage architectures Ability to turn ambiguous customer needs into clear requirements and actionable solution designs Confidence engaging with technical practitioners, architects, executives, product teams, and engineering organizations Ability to communicate a compelling product and technology vision while remaining credible at a deep technical level Strong troubleshooting, benchmarking, and proof-of-concept skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts Willingness to learn quickly, experiment with emerging technologies, and work effectively across organizational boundaries Desirable Requirements Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Computer Science, or related field Familiarity with Dell Power.
Scale, Object. Scale, Lightning File System, or Exascale Storage technologies Ability to develop rack-level designs, including component selection, cabling, port mapping, power, cooling, and capacity planning Experience sizing solutions based on workload profiles, performance requirements, growth expectations, and resiliency objectives Strong whiteboarding, architecture-diagramming, and technical presentation skills Experience integrating storage, high-speed networking, servers, GPUs, and orchestration platforms into complete solutions Knowledge of Ethernet and Infini.
Band networking, including topology, bandwidth, latency, congestion, and redundancy considerations About Dell Technologies — ISG Developer Experience Dell's Infrastructure Solutions Group is a global leader in Solutions, Storage, Compute, and Networking. The Developer Experience organization within ISG is responsible for developer productivity, tooling, observability, and platform engineering for approximately 9,000 engineers.
Our current mandate spans agentic SDLC transformation, AI tooling governance, and the operating model changes required to make AI-assisted development the norm — not the exception. Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) builds the products that power infrastructure, solutions, and data management our customers need most.
Our teams design and develop the hardware and software that connect infrastructure, accelerate computational workloads, integrate across the stack, protect data continuity, and deliver the platforms, applications, and diagnostics our customers rely on every day at enterprise scale. Some product builders follow the rules.
Ours rewrite them. Within ISG, innovation isn't just about creating new technology- it's about challenging assumptions and reimagining how work gets done. Engineers define intent, author precise specifications, and orchestrate AI agents that execute at speed and scale. AI is embedded throughout our development process, helping us move faster, learn quicker, and deliver greater impact.
Yet the most important contribution remains uniquely human: deciding what to build, designing how it should work, and applying the judgment needed to earn our customers' trust. When your products power critical infrastructure around the world, that responsibility matters. We move quickly toward the work that matters most.
We reward experimentation, encourage bold thinking, and remove unnecessary barriers so great ideas can become reality faster. Our teams embrace a customer-first, first-to-market mindset, transforming rapid feedback into better products and better outcomes. We aren't looking for people who are content with the status quo- we look for builders who question it, improve it, and occasionally rewrite it.
If you're energized by solving complex systems challenges, excited to work alongside AI to amplify your impact, and motivated by the opportunity to shape what's next instead of simply maintaining what's been done before, you'll find your place here. Join us and help build the future of enterprise technology Compensation Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.
