Thickness Profile / Flatness Engineer - Flatness Model

Responsibilities

Coordinate and carry out production works of Finish Mill. Build process rules for Finish Mill to ensure high quality of product through correct model setups of profile contour and flatness control. Fulfill and maintain profile and flatness control function and relevant improvements. Mathematical models maintenance and improvements, for example roll thermal, roll wear, CVC control, Bending, automatic flatness control, automatic profile control, etc.

Analyze the root-cause of problems for finish mill rolling process and take actions to prevent. For example, cobble, wedge, camber, ridge, profile and flatness, etc. Control and improve the quality indexes of finish mill for specific steel grades, mainly focus on thickness profile, wedge and flatness. Check equipment and ensure working precisions for finish mill.

Qualifications

of Experience and Skills Bachelor’s degree or above with the academic backgrounds of Mechanical, Materials or Computer, etc. A certain capability of computer programming with C++ etc. At least 10 years working experience in rolling process in wide Hot Strip Rolling Mill, preferred to in silicon steel production. At least 5 years working experience in thickness profile and flatness control in wide Sot Strip Mill.

Prefer to proficient English in reading, listening , speaking and writing. Proficient in Microsoft Office skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook). Excellent verbal and written communications.
