Personal Support Worker

University Home Care Inc is seeking compassionate and dedicated Personal Support Workers to provide high-quality care to clients in Barton Hills, MI. In this role, you will assist individuals with daily living activities, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being in their own homes.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care assistance such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and toileting.
• Assist with mobility and transfers, helping clients move safely between locations.
• Support clients with meal preparation and feeding as needed.
• Monitor and report any changes in clients’ physical or emotional condition.
• Help with light housekeeping duties to maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Offer companionship and emotional support to clients.
• Follow care plans and instructions provided by healthcare professionals.
• Maintain client confidentiality and adhere to all policies and procedures.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Personal Support Worker or in a similar role is a plus but not required.
• Ability to communicate effectively and compassionately with clients and team members.
• Certification or training in personal support or healthcare is an asset.
• Reliable transportation to the Barton Hills, MI location.
• Willingness to undergo background checks.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting and assisting clients.
