Assembly Technician

Assembly Technician A unique opportunity for an Assembly Technician to join a cutting-edge technology company developing highly innovative hardware products. This is a hands-on role assembling precision mechanical, optical and electronic components, supporting both prototype builds and established production work. The position could suit an experienced Assembly Technician or a practical, technically minded graduate or entry-level technician who enjoys building and assembling products.

Due to the nature of some client projects, you must be willing and eligible to obtain security clearance. Location: North Uttlesford / Greater Cambridge Area – five days onsite. A driving licence is strongly preferred as the office is not accessible by public transport. Salary: £25,000–£30,000, rising to £35,000 for a highly experienced technician.

Requirements

Experience assembling mechanical, optical or electronic components Strong practical skills and manual dexterity Excellent attention to detail, accuracy and cleanliness Ability to follow engineering drawings and documented workflows Experience using hand tools, power tools and precision instruments Experience with soldering, wiring or cable harness assembly would be beneficial Comfortable working to deadlines in a fast-paced environment Strong communication and teamwork skills *** A degree is not essential, although the role may suit a graduate from an electronics, mechanical engineering, manufacturing or related technical background.

Responsibilities
