Substitute Crossing Guard / Traffic Control Agent

Job Responsibilities

Assists and directs students crossing streets in order to provide a safe environment for students to walk to school. Suggests improvements in the procedures for students who walk to school and cross the street so that safety methods are continually evaluated and revised if appropriate. Promotes safety at all times to minimize accidents.

May work with the Police School Resource Officer on safety procedures or problems.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent. Ability to maintain a calm demeanor with students and drivers. Comfortable working in a wide range of weather conditions. Completion of a background check. Hours: Student Contact Days AM 7:30AM-8:50AM PM 2:30PM-3:45PM Compensation/Benefits: $17.50/hr This position does not qualify for benefits.
