• MoCI Classroom ASSIGNMENT: Classroom for Moderately Cognitively Impaired (Ages 11-14) LOCATION: Clare-Gladwin Area School; 4041 E. Mannsiding Rd, Clare MI REPORTS TO: Classroom Teacher and Principal SCHEDULE : School year position following the district calendar Monday
• Friday; 6.75 hours per day STARTING WAGE: According to the MEA Contract. $14.37 per hour, or higher - based on actual years of experience STARTING DATE: As soon as possible JOB OBJECTIVE: The Paraeducator is responsible for assisting teachers, Itinerant staff and others in the support of instructional, health related, recreation and/or pre-vocational job training activities. The Paraeducator may be assigned to one classroom or to a variety of assignments depending on the needs of the students.

QUALIFICATIONS

High school diploma or equivalency required. Work experience with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred. Working knowledge of training techniques, behavior modification, and task analysis. Interpersonal skills sufficient to communicate with students, parents, community, and peers. Ability to understand and work with children of all ages.
