Work Shift (if applicable): Shift 1 (United States of America) Job Description: Vitalant is seeking a Sales Support Specialist I dedicated to supporting our life-saving mission through donor recruitment and blood drive coordination. Your impact as a Sales Support Specialist I is vital. You will support team collection goals by assisting with donor recruitment efforts and engaging blood drive coordinators to maximize participation, with a strong emphasis on acquiring first-time donors. While this role does not typically carry individual collection goals, you may assume responsibility for a territory when providing extended coverage.
You will also help maintain existing blood drive accounts and support opportunities for growth. Engage blood drive coordinators to increase donor participation and retention. Assist with donor recruitment initiatives, including outreach to first-time donors. Maintain accurate records and ensure data integrity using established systems. Support special projects and assist with training and onboarding of new and existing staff.
Provide high-quality customer service to internal and external customers. Ensure compliance with internal SOPs, external regulations, and software usage standards. Collaborate with field teams and cross-functional partners to support operational success.
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience Valid in-state driver’s license required. Preferred: Minimum of one year of related experience in a sales, healthcare, or donor recruitment environment. Must possess the skills and abilities to successfully perform all assigned duties and responsibilities.
Must be able to maintain confidentiality. Effective oral and written communication skills. Sales/territory management skills. Must be self-motivated and a self-starter with good organizational skills. Ability to work flexible hours including weekends and evenings. Provide own vehicle for transportation. Proficient personal computer skills.
