Diesel Mechanic

Viking is seeking an experienced, versatile mechanic to join our maintenance team. Basic Function: To perform maintenance and repair on company vehicles, forklifts and other machinery Responsibilities: Build and assemble vehicle components according to requirements Inspect vehicles, engines, transmissions, etc. and run diagnostic tests to discover functionality issues Conduct repairs Troubleshoot reported problems and resolve them in a timely manner Perform thorough maintenance on vehicles, trucks, forklifts and other machinery Clean and apply lubricants Replenish fluids and components of engines and vehicles Undertake other duties as assigned (e.

g. repair of hydraulic systems, painting vehicles etc) Keep logs of work and report on issues Supervisory Responsibilities: None Skills: Proven experience as a mechanic Excellent knowledge of vehicles Basic reading skills Lifting up to 100 pounds Education/Training: Experience: Diesel Engine Repair: 5 years Mechanical Knowledge Certifications/Licenses : None Position Reports to: Owner Monday
