Registered Nurse - Clinical Educator
Job description
Are you a nurse who loves helping others learn and succeed? Do you enjoy sharing your knowledge, supporting teammates, and making a difference beyond your patient assignments? Williamson Health is looking for a passionate, positive, and motivated Nurse Educator to join our Organizational Development & Education team! This is an exciting opportunity to help shape nursing education while staying connected to our patients and the nurses who care for them.
What Makes This Opportunity Special? As our Nurse Educator, you'll strengthen nursing practice, develop new nurses, and create engaging educational experiences. You'll have the opportunity to:
- Shape the Next Generation: Help expand our Nurse Residency Program from two to four cohorts annually, supporting new nurses as they enter professional practice.
- Strengthen Our Preceptor Program: Provide education, coaching, and resources to help preceptors confidently mentor and develop new nurses.
- Bring Education to Life: Create more interactive, hands-on, and engaging learning experiences.
- Take Education to the Units: Partner with Medical-Surgical teams to provide in-service education, skills development, and just-in-time learning where needed.
- Support Clinical Excellence: Build nursing confidence, strengthen competencies, and promote a culture of safety and high reliability.
- Stay Connected to Patient Care: Work clinical shifts each month to maintain your skills and firsthand understanding of bedside nursing.
- Be a Resource and Encourager: Serve as a trusted coach, mentor, and positive influence across our nursing teams. Who Are We Looking For? We're looking for someone who demonstrates the Williamson Way through their attitude, teamwork, clinical expertise, and commitment to others. Our ideal candidate:
- Is a Registered Nurse (active TN license in good standing) with a minimum of 3–5 years of clinical experience, preferably in Medical-Surgical nursing.
- Holds a BSN or MSN (preferred).
- Is a current Williamson Health employee in good standing (internal candidates preferred).
- Has strong clinical skills and can work across Medical-Surgical units.
- Demonstrates a positive, approachable attitude and enjoys helping others succeed.
- Understands Williamson Health's mission, vision, culture, and resources.
- Is creative, resourceful, and enthusiastic about improving education.
- Enjoys teaching, coaching, and providing constructive feedback.
- Is committed to maintaining clinical skills and providing direct patient care. Why Consider This Role? You don't have to leave the bedside behind to make a bigger impact. This role combines clinical practice, professional growth, mentorship, and innovation. You'll influence how nurses learn and deliver exceptional care while remaining connected to patients and staff. Formal teaching experience isn't required. If you're the nurse others turn to for guidance, enjoy helping new nurses succeed, or have ideas for improving education, we want to talk with you! Take the next step in your nursing career and help build the future of nursing at Williamson Health!
