Accountant III

Under minimal supervision, performs complex accounting activities which may include maintaining general ledger accounts and developing financial statements and reports. May provide functional advice and training to less experienced accountants. Prepares various accounting statements and reports including statements for customers, internal reports for management and various other accounting reports.

Analyzes financial data to ensure accuracy and completeness as well as researching and resolving discrepancies. Responsible for ensuring the accuracy of manual journal entries, participating in financial audits, reconciling bank statements and general ledger accounts and ensuring financial records are accurate throughout the year.

Handles special projects, as assigned.
