This is an excellent opportunity for a clinician who enjoys building longitudinal patient relationships, working within a collaborative care team, and contributing to a service line that is actively expanding.

This role requires regular travel to multiple clinical sites.

Key Responsibilities

Perform comprehensive histories, physical examinations, and vascular assessments for patients with conditions including peripheral arterial disease, critical limb ischemia, venous insufficiency, varicose veins, deep vein thrombosis, and other vascular and interventional radiology related conditions. Order and interpret diagnostic testing, including arterial and venous duplex studies, ankle-brachial indices, cross-sectional imaging, and relevant laboratory studies.

Develop and manage treatment plans, including pre-procedure evaluation and planning, procedural candidacy, and post-procedure follow-up, in coordination with the supervising physician. Assist with or perform procedures within scope of practice and credentialing, and monitor patients for post-procedure complications. Educate patients and families on condition management, risk factor modification, medication use, wound care, and post-procedure expectations.

Document clinical encounters accurately and completely in the electronic health record, supporting appropriate coding and charge capture. Support prior authorization requests and appeals by providing complete clinical documentation for payer review. Coordinate care with referring providers, primary care providers, specialists, and support staff to ensure continuity across visits.

Support the department's quality, compliance, and patient-safety standards. Travel to and provide coverage across multiple Insight clinical sites as clinical needs require. Required Qualifications: Graduate of an accredited Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner program. Current NCCPA certification (PA-C), or current national board certification as a Nurse Practitioner (ANCC or AANP).

Strong clinical judgment, communication skills, and ability to work within a team-based care model. Comfort with electronic health records and standard clinical documentation workflows.

Candidates with a background in these settings are strongly preferred, given the procedural comfort, patient acuity recognition, and vascular knowledge the role benefits from. Experience with peripheral vascular disease management and post-procedure patient care.

Experience in an office-based lab or ambulatory procedural setting. Familiarity with prior authorization processes and clinical documentation for payer review. What Insight Offers Competitive compensation commensurate with experience. Collaborative physician oversight and a supportive clinical team. Opportunity to grow within an expanding, multi-site specialty service line.

Exposure to a diverse patient population across multiple Michigan communities. Insight Health System is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive workplace!
