Distribution Driver

Position Overview

Friesen CDJR is looking for a dependable Parts Distribution Driver to join our team in Clay Center, Kansas. This position delivers automotive parts to customers along assigned routes, handles pickups and returns, and helps keep our parts distribution operation running smoothly. We’re looking for someone who takes pride in safe driving, accurate deliveries, and friendly customer service.

Responsibilities

Safely deliver automotive parts to customers along assigned routes. Verify parts and quantities against delivery paperwork before loading and at each stop. Load, unload, and secure parts to prevent damage during transport. Use Elite EXTRA to follow routes, update delivery statuses, and record arrivals. Obtain delivery photos, signatures, and other required documentation.

Collect returns, cores, and additional pickups with accurate paperwork. Communicate delivery issues, delays, discrepancies, and customer requests promptly. Complete routine vehicle inspections, report maintenance concerns, and keep the delivery vehicle clean. Assist with sorting parts, organizing inventory, and warehouse duties as needed.

Follow company policies, traffic laws, and safe material-handling practices.

Qualifications

Valid driver’s license, acceptable driving record, and ability to meet company insurance requirements. Dependable attendance and strong time-management skills. Attention to detail and ability to follow delivery instructions. Friendly, professional communication and customer service skills. Ability to work independently and cooperate with the parts and distribution teams.

Comfortable using a smartphone or tablet for routing and delivery documentation. Previous delivery, warehouse, or automotive parts experience is helpful but not required. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly lift and move automotive parts weighing up to 75 pounds, with assistance or equipment as appropriate. Ability to frequently enter and exit a delivery vehicle, bend, reach, stand, and walk.

Ability to load and unload deliveries and work in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform essential job duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
