• Northeast Iowa is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our established Otolaryngology (ENT) practice in Waterloo, Iowa. This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a physician-led, patient-centered practice serving a regional population of approximately 280,000 throughout Northeast Iowa. The APP will work collaboratively with an experienced Otolaryngologist, audiology services, nursing staff, and a multidisciplinary care team to provide comprehensive ENT care. The practice enjoys established referral patterns, an existing patient base, and clinic space conveniently located on the hospital campus.

Responsibilities

Conduct comprehensive patient assessments, histories, and physical examinations. Evaluate and manage common ENT conditions involving the ear, nose, throat, head, and neck. Order and interpret laboratory, imaging, and diagnostic studies. Develop treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physician. Provide pre-operative and post-operative care.

Perform office-based procedures as credentialed. Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care. Document encounters within the electronic medical record. Collaborate with audiologists, primary care providers, specialists, and ancillary staff to ensure coordinated patient care.

Board Certified or Board Eligible. Ability to obtain and maintain an unrestricted Iowa license. Current DEA certification or eligibility. ENT experience preferred; motivated new graduates with relevant clinical experience will be considered. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
