CDL A Truck Driver .65 CPM

Position Summary

Smith Transport is seeking experienced CDL-A drivers for our Over-the-Road fleet. This full-time position offers dependable direct-customer freight, modern equipment, competitive mileage pay, and predictable home time. Drivers operate 53-foot dry van trailers primarily on no-touch, drop-and-hook loads.

Key Responsibilities

Safely operate a Class A commercial motor vehicle over assigned OTR routes. Transport direct-customer freight in accordance with company procedures and delivery schedules. Complete required vehicle inspections and promptly report maintenance or safety concerns. Maintain accurate trip, mileage, delivery, and Hours-of-Service records.

Communicate professionally with driver managers, customers, terminal staff, and support teams. Follow all company policies and applicable federal, state, and local transportation regulations.
