Job description

Description Gainesville Dental Assisting School is hiring a Part-Time Dental Assistant Instructor for our ongoing 12-week hands-on clinical training programs. Schedule: Saturdays, 7:00am – 6:15pm (breaks included). Note: teaching schedule may vary based on morning and/or afternoon class availability. Location: Gainesville, FL (In-Person) Compensation: $28–$30/hr, depending on experience.

Demonstrate chairside procedures and clinical techniques Teach radiology fundamentals and safety protocols Coach students during hands-on lab practice Provide performance feedback and skills assessments Maintain infection control and classroom safety standards Foster a supportive, structured learning environment Who This Is For Dental assistants — EFDA — who want to keep practicing during the week while stepping into a mentorship role on Saturdays and who are ready to make an impact beyond the chair.

Requirements

5+ years of dental assisting or chairside experience (EFDA required) Completed or willing to complete 8 hours of CE Active Radiology Certification CPR/BLS Certification Strong communicator: able to explain clinical procedures clearly to learners with no prior experience Able to commute to location(s) Nice-to-haves: prior teaching or mentoring experience, Dentrix familiarity, leadership background
