Farnsworth Group is seeking a Civil Engineer Project Manager in one of the posting locations below. Qualified candidates will work with our Energy & Utility Group as a part of the Telecommunications Team in the planning, drafting, design, permitting and construction administration of telecommunications and utility projects.
Posting Locations for this role: Lisle, IL; Frisco, TX; Charlotte, NC; or St. Louis, MO What You'll Do: Review roadway plans to identify conflicts with existing utilities Design civil relocation plans for telecommunications and other utility projects using Micro. Station, AutoCAD, or other design software Plan and oversee work production to meet project deadlines and budgets Technical oversight, training and mentoring of less experienced staff Ability to lead multiple projects simultaneously and coordinate efforts with support groups ensuring a quality, on-time product for our clients, and financially successful projects Review projects for accuracy, quality, and adherence to client specifications Provide direction and support for permit plans and work prints drafted in AutoCAD, Micro.
Station, Bluebeam, etc. Provide office support for site visits and participate in site visits which may include overnight travel What You'll Need: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or related field 4+ years of engineering experience Experience with AutoCAD or Micro. Station Experience in utility relocation design, utility coordination, or roadway design Positive work ethic and excellent communication skills Ability to effectively manage time while working on several projects concurrently Nice To Haves: Professional Engineering (PE) license Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification or 2+years of project management experience Experience on telecommunications relocation projects Experience submitting and tracking permits (DOT, municipal, USACE, etc.)
