Traffic Engineering Lead – 6 Month Contract Location: Dudley Rate: £250.00 per day (Umbrella) Contract: 6 Month Contract Pay: Bi-Weekly Summary We are seeking a seasoned Traffic Engineering Lead to spearhead the execution of traffic management, road safety, and Traffic Regulation Order (TRO) initiatives within a Local Authority highways team.

This role involves managing a small team, ensuring successful project delivery, offering technical guidance to senior stakeholders, and contributing to the formulation of traffic management strategies and policies.

Key Responsibilities

Direct traffic management and road safety initiatives. Oversee the administration of Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs). Evaluate collision and traffic data to formulate work programs. Provide expert technical advice to senior officers and elected officials. Oversee project budgets, assess risks, and monitor contractor performance.

Prepare and deliver technical reports. Act as a deputy for the Traffic Group Manager when necessary. Represent the Local Authority in regional and technical meetings. Essential Requirements Requirements: Extensive experience in Traffic Engineering or Highway Engineering. Comprehensive understanding of: Traffic Management Road Safety Traffic Regulation Orders (TROs) Highway Legislation Proven experience in managing staff, budgets, and projects.

Excellent skills in stakeholder engagement and report writing. Possession of a full UK Driving Licence.
