Substitute Teacher

Responsibilities

of a Substitute Teacher Provide quality instruction to students on behalf of the permanent teacher in assigned classroom(s) Implement effective routines, procedures, and lesson plans on behalf of the permanent teacher Establish and maintain a safe and orderly classroom environment Report any student injuries, illness, and serious discipline problems to school administration or designee Perform other duties as directed by school administration or designee Qualifications Must be proficient in English (speaking, reading, writing) Must submit to and clear a criminal background check High school diploma or GED required Must be at least 21 years of age at the time of application submission Some college hours or college degree preferred
