Join the Sonoma Ranch Golf Course crew!!! Sonoma Ranch Golf Course is hiring Landscapers in Las Cruces, NM! (Golf Playing Privileges Available.) The Golf Course Irrigation Tech will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and optimizing the golf course irrigation system to ensure efficient water distribution, health of the turf, and overall course quality.

This role requires a blend of technical knowledge, problem-solving abilities, and a proactive approach to address the unique irrigation needs of a golf course environment. Schedule: Mon

• Thurs: 6:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Friday: 6:00 a.m. - 11:00 a.m. Sat/Sun: 6:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. (every other weekend) Responsibilities: Inspect, troubleshoot, and repair irrigation systems, including controllers, valves, heads, and lines, to ensure they are functioning optimally. Program and adjust the irrigation system according to seasonal and weather changes, as well as specific turf needs across fairways, greens, and tees. Monitor and manage water usage to maximize efficiency and conserve resources, adhering to any local or environmental water restrictions. Maintain accurate records of system inspections, repairs, and water usage, and report any issues or improvements to the supervisor. Ensure compliance with all safety protocols, regulations, and environmental guidelines. Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on pumps, filtration systems, and other related equipment. Work closely with groundskeeping and maintenance staff to coordinate irrigation schedules, repair times, and special projects. All work is performed in conformance with policies of Sonoma Ranch Golf Course and within expected safety standards.

Qualifications

High School Diploma or equivalent (Required). Knowledge of procedures, safety rules, tools, methods and materials used for irrigation, golf course maintenance, and pesticide use. Excellent attention to detail. Excellent customer service skills. Ability to work independently and within a team setting. Ability to use hand tools.

Ability to operate and maintain all necessary equipment. Ability to establish and maintain working relationships with other employees, members, and guests. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely manner. Ability to work over 8 hours per day and a flexible schedule including weekends, evenings, and holidays.
