Industrial and Commercial Bank of China (Asia) Limited (“ICBC (Asia)”) is the flagship of overseas business of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China Limited (“ICBC”) – currently the largest commercial bank in China, and it is one of the domestic systemically important banks (D-SIBs) in Hong Kong. Currently, ICBC (Asia) has 52 retail outlets (including 27 “Elite Club” Wealth Management Centres) in Hong Kong.

It is engaged in commercial banking, investment banking and other financial services, including those of securities, insurance and funds, with a focus on commercial and retail banking as well as global market business. Chinese Mercantile Bank and ICBC Asset Management (Global) Company Limited, two wholly-owned subsidiaries of ICBC (Asia), specialize in Renminbi services in mainland China and ICBC’s global asset management business respectively.

Job Responsibilities

Drive and support risk-based ongoing monitoring and control testing across the bank and subsidiaries to ensure effective control framework and programs are in place including to lead and deliver risk and control reviews, from planning, analysis, developing. Develop and maintain on-going monitoring and control testing standards and procedures that are fit-for-purpose and responsive to business requirements.

Prepare detailed reports in accordance with the outcomes of the on-going monitoring and control testing and determine follow up actions. Follow up and challenge of sufficiency of remediation activities for risk and control issues as well as effective monitoring of and execute key activities within the risk and control framework.

Liaise and co-ordinate with Internal Audit and Head Office for AML examinations, investigations, audits and reviews and handling enquiries. Carry out ad hoc FCC related projects as assigned. Job Requirements Degree holder with minimum of 3-5 years of banking experience in financial crime compliance, AML advisory, or compliance testing/audit Sound knowledge in Hong Kong AML/CFT, Sanctions, and AB&C regulations, familiarity with Mainland China requirements is a plus Solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to apply a risk-based approach to on-going monitoring and control testing Experience working with regulatory authorities would be an advantage but not essential Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, able to work with front office, operations, IT, risk, audit and senior management Qualifications in law, accounting, commerce/business or related disciplines; recognised professional qualifications incl.
