Job description
Life Enhancement Center (LEC) Attendant The Life Enhancement Center (LEC) Attendant is responsible for providing an exceptional member experience while maintaining a clean, safe, organized, and welcoming environment within the LEC. The Attendant serves as a friendly and professional point of contact for members and guests, monitors the facility and equipment, assists with member needs, and ensures that the LEC consistently reflects the high standards of the club.
The LEC Attendant does not provide personal training, exercise instruction, or individualized fitness programming. Essential Responsibilities Member Service Welcome and acknowledge members and guests in a friendly, professional, and courteous manner. Provide attentive and responsive service to members using the LEC. Assist members with general questions regarding the facility, equipment, amenities, and club procedures.
Anticipate member needs and provide assistance whenever appropriate. Communicate member concerns, requests, or suggestions to the appropriate supervisor. Facility Operations Monitor the LEC to ensure that the facility remains clean, organized, attractive, and properly maintained. Perform routine cleaning and sanitizing of fitness equipment and high-touch areas.
Ensure towels, water, supplies, and other amenities are adequately stocked and available. Maintain an orderly appearance of equipment, furniture, and common areas. Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned. Support LEC programs, events, classes, and other member activities as needed. Safety & Security Be attentive to members who may require assistance.
Follow all club safety policies, emergency procedures, and incident-reporting requirements. Respond appropriately to emergencies and promptly notify the appropriate personnel when assistance is required. Maintain awareness of facility conditions and report hazards or maintenance concerns immediately. Club Standards Represent the club in a professional, courteous, and positive manner.
Maintain a neat and professional appearance consistent with club standards. Follow all club policies, procedures, and standards of conduct. Work cooperatively with the LEC, and other club departments. Perform other duties as assigned by management.
Qualifications
& Experience Previous experience in a fitness, hospitality, country club, recreation, or customer-service environment preferred. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Friendly, approachable, and service-oriented personality. Ability to work independently while remaining attentive to members and facility needs.
Ability to follow established safety and emergency procedures. Physical Requirements Ability to stand and walk for extended periods. Ability to lift, carry, push, or pull equipment and supplies as required. Ability to perform routine cleaning and facility-maintenance tasks. Ability to respond promptly to a member or facility emergency.
Ability to safely perform the essential functions of the position with or without reasonable accommodation. Work Schedule This position has a varied schedule based on the operating needs of the Life Enhancement Center. The schedule may include: Early morning, daytime, and/or evening shifts. Weekends, Club holidays. Additional shifts as needed to meet member and facility needs.
Flexibility and reliability are important requirements of the position. Reports To: Director of Recreation / LEC Manager Member Experience Expectations The LEC Attendant is an important part of the overall member experience. The successful candidate will: Make members feel welcomed, recognized, and valued. Maintain a visible and approachable presence in the LEC.
Provide assistance without being intrusive. Take ownership of the appearance and condition of the facility. Respond promptly and professionally to member requests and concerns. Help create an environment that is comfortable, positive, clean, and inviting. Consistently represent the standards and values of the club.
