Medical Assistant – Full-Time Location: Sleep Disorder Center of Louisiana- Lake Charles Website: https://www.sleepdisordercenterofla.com Compensation: $17- $18 per hour Schedule: Full-Time Position Summary: The Sleep Disorder Center of Louisiana is seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant (MA) to join our team.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting our physicians and nurse practitioners in delivering high-quality care to patients with sleep-related health concerns.

Key Responsibilities

Complete initial patient evaluations, documenting: Medication history Medical, surgical, family, and social history Update patient information as needed Make, receive, and handle medically related phone calls as directed by the physician and/or nurse practitioner Call in prescription refills to pharmacies within 24 hours of patient request Answer and return all patient and/or family calls in a timely and professional manner Qualifications: Experience: 3–5 years working as a Medical Assistant in a physician's office Certification: MA certification preferred, but not required Required: Current certification in Basic Life Support (BLS) Skills: Proficient in taking vital signs and conducting medical history intake Strong interpersonal and communication skills Ability to work in a fast-paced environment Team-oriented and adaptable to changing situations and new tasks Why Join Us?
