About the Role

The Machine Operator plays a critical role in the manufacturing process by efficiently operating and maintaining various production machinery to ensure smooth and continuous assembly line operations. This position requires precision and attention to detail to handle equipment such as press machines, mold machines, and band saws, contributing directly to product quality and production targets.

The operator is responsible for setting up machines, monitoring their performance, and making necessary adjustments to optimize output while adhering to safety standards. Additionally, the role involves performing routine maintenance tasks, including deburring and using measurement tools like micrometers to verify product specifications.

Ultimately, the Machine Operator ensures that manufacturing processes run safely, efficiently, and meet the company’s quality standards within the United States manufacturing environment.

Minimum Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent. Proven experience operating manufacturing machinery such as press machines and mold machines. Basic knowledge of safety protocols in a manufacturing environment. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and use precision measuring tools like micrometers. Physical ability to handle materials and operate overhead cranes and clamp trucks safely.

Preferred Qualifications

Certification in machine operation or manufacturing technology. Experience with deburring techniques and quality control processes. Familiarity with band saw operation and maintenance. Previous experience working in a high-volume manufacturing setting. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to perform minor machine repairs.

Responsibilities

Operate and monitor press machines, mold machines, band saws, and other production machinery to meet daily production goals. Set up and adjust machines according to specifications, using tools such as micrometers to ensure precision. Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on equipment to minimize downtime and maintain safety standards.

Handle materials safely using overhead cranes and clamp trucks to load and unload machinery. Conduct deburring and other finishing processes to ensure product quality before moving items along the assembly line. Maintain accurate production records and report any equipment malfunctions or safety concerns to supervisors.

Collaborate with team members to optimize workflow and support continuous improvement initiatives. Skills: The required skills such as operating assembly line machinery, press machines, and mold machines are essential for daily production tasks, ensuring that products are manufactured to exact specifications. Proficiency with overhead cranes and clamp trucks is necessary for the safe and efficient handling of heavy materials throughout the production process.
