Mechatronics Engineer
Job description
The Mechatronics Engineer supports, improves, modernizes, and integrates automated manufacturing equipment within AFL’s cable manufacturing operations. The role focuses on industrial controls, automation, electrical systems, motion control, machine integration, and advanced troubleshooting.
Responsibilities include
PLC/HMI and drive upgrades, equipment integration, machine sustainability, startup and commissioning of new equipment, and modernization of existing systems. The engineer collaborates with Maintenance, Process Engineering, Manufacturing Technology, Operations, OEMs, and outside integrators to ensure equipment is safe, reliable, maintainable, and capable of meeting production requirements.
