Home Health Aide (HHA) 12 hr shift day and night

We are currently seeking a** ** compassionate and patient Home Health Aide (HHA) to provide care for clients living at home . We **are looking for someone who is calm, attentive, and experienced in providing memory care and emotional support.

As a Home Health Aide, here’s a big-picture view of what you’ll do:

• Provide the personal care and support seniors need to live safely at home

• Assist with dementia-related needs (redirection, reassurance, supervision)

• Assist with activities of daily living such as dressing, grooming, light housekeeping, meal preparation, shopping, transportation and companionship

• Help with ambulation, transferring and range of motion exercises

• Provide medication reminders, document their condition and notify a supervisor of any concerns

• Ensure a safe home environment with unobstructed pathways

• Participate in activities that bring clients joy such as puzzles, games, reading and hobbies

A few must-haves for Home Health Aides:

• High school diploma (or equivalent) and active Home Health Aide (HHA) registration in Alabama

• At least 2 years of experience in a healthcare role, preferred

• Dementia or memory care experience preferred

• CPR certification

• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance and transportation

• Compassionate and helping nature, good communicator and ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
