Job description
Provide support to processes on HSE matters to improve the HSE performance of each unit. Perform purchasing and inventory control of PPE for the region (approximately USD 100K). Participate as an instructor in annual safety training for plant operations. Coordinate efforts with process leaders to correct safety findings by promoting meetings to discuss ideas and solve problems.
Coordinate and establish parameter-control strategies for the site's oxidation ponds, demonstrating improvements through KPIs. Coordinate and establish site waste-control strategies, demonstrating improvements through KPIs. Coordinate and establish strategies to control and comply with site legal requirements for safety, health, and environment.
Develop relationships with municipal, state, and federal government agencies to carry out proceedings and license applications required for site operation. Develop and lead the safe-work strategy for contractors in engineering projects and routine work, with the objective of preventing occupational accidents and complying with applicable current legislation.
Develop campaigns that strengthen the site's preventive HSE culture. Develop continuous improvement projects that generate savings in the purchase of supplies required to operate safely.
