Paws for a Cause! Are you a true dog lover and looking for a way to bring joy to others with your furry friend? Join us as a volunteer at Hammond. Care and help brighten the days of residents with the love of our furry friends! You’ll spend time walking, cuddling, and playing with friendly dogs, sharing laughter, smiles, and wagging tails all around.
It’s a heart-warming way to connect, spread happiness, and make both tails and hearts wag! As you're bringing your pet into a care environment with frail and elderly residents, we ask that your pet is:
- Calm and gentle in nature
- Up-to-date with vaccinations and treatment of worms and fleas
- Nails should be short and blunt. Freshly cut nails can be sharp if not filed down.
- Dogs should be kept on a lead always. Your impact Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit as well as yourself. Requirements
18 years or older
- NDIS Worker Screening Check arranged and paid for by Hammond. Care We'd be happy to discuss a suitable time during the week for a one hour visit between 9am and 4pm Monday to Sunday, visits could be weekly to fortnightly depending on your availability.
