Job Description As a Trade Planner, you will ensure compliance with applicable customs regulations and internal policies when products, services, and technology move across borders, bonded warehouses, and free/foreign trade zones.
You will support import and export operations by reviewing documentation, coordinating with customs brokers and authorities, maintaining records, and contributing to cost efficiency and productivity improvements. You will work within the Supply Chain organization. Reporting structure and work arrangement (onsite, hybrid, or remote) to be determined.
Your Responsibilities
Prepare and review import and export documentation prior to customs clearance activities. Coordinate with customs brokers and relevant contacts to resolve classification differences and prevent delays in the brokerage process. Monitor shipment status and provide tracking information for goods under customs procedures.
Respond to customs authorities' requirements, including declaration corrections and legalization processes. Measure customs broker service levels using standard metrics and KPIs, while ensuring records and SOPs are properly maintained and updated. The Essentials
- You Will Have: Experience supporting import/export operations, customs compliance, trade documentation, or related supply chain activities. The Preferred
- You Might Also Have: Experience preparing and reviewing customs and export documentation. Experience working with customs brokers and customs authorities. Knowledge of customs compliance processes, shipment tracking, and records management. Experience measuring service levels and KPIs related to customs brokerage activities. Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools and basic knowledge of SAP. Experience using Microsoft Copilot to support drafting and validation of trade documentation. Experience collecting and analyzing data, trends, and reports. Rockwell Automation’s hybrid policy aligns that employees are expected to work at a Rockwell location at least Mondays, Tuesdays, and Thursdays unless they have a business obligation out of the office.
