Career Technical Education Teacher (CTE) - Law and Public Safety/First Responders Program

Description: The CTE teacher for Law and Public Safety is responsible for planning, organizing, and delivering engaging instruction aligned with Ohio Department of Education career-technical standards in the Law and Public Safety career field. The teacher will provide students with foundational knowledge and hands-on learning experiences related to criminal justice, emergency services, public safety, homeland security, and related career pathways.

Job Responsibilities

(include, but are not limited to): Develop and implement curriculum aligned to Ohio Career Technical Education standards in Law and Public Safety. Deliver engaging instruction using classroom, laboratory, project-based, and real-world learning experiences. Prepare students for postsecondary education, industry credentials, and careers in criminal justice, emergency medical services, firefighting, homeland security, and related public safety fields.

Maintain compliance with district policies, Ohio Department of Education requirements, and applicable safety regulations.
