The Department of Rehabilitation Medicine is seeking a board-certified or board-eligible Physiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team. This position is primarily at North Central Bronx with cross coverage to Jacobi Medical Center. This is a diverse clinical opportunity offering exposure across inpatient rehabilitation, inpatient consultation, outpatient care, and electrodiagnostic medicine, with opportunities to participate in medical education, research, and quality improvement. This position is primarily at North Central Bronx with cross coverage to Jacobi medical Center. Opportunity Details: Primary location is North Central Bronx with Jacobi Medical Center coverage. Provide outpatient rehabilitation and EMG/NCS services at North Central Bronx (Primary) and Jacobi. Opportunity for Muscular Skeletal Medicine (EMG /NCS) and procedures. Participate in the inpatient rehabilitation consultation service. Engage in academic teaching, including medical student and resident education and training. Opportunities to participate in clinical research and quality improvement initiatives. Practice at a Level I Trauma Center and Burn Unit.

Qualifications

Board Certification or Eligibility in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Active or eligible for a New York State medical license Wages and Benefits include: Annual Base Salary: $250,640* (board eligible); $255,840* (board certified) based on 40-hour work week. Additional compensation available for extra call or sessional/per diem hours.

The annual total value of the compensation package is estimated at $360,620**(board eligible) and $366,120** (board certified), which includes the baseline salary, 401(k) contribution, sessional/per diem hours, and other factors as set forth below: Estimated annual compensation for 10 additional sessional/per diem hours worked per week is $55,520.

Projected bonus of up to $40,000 (based on previous year’s average), contingent upon meeting quality and productivity targets. 401(k) Company Contribution (subject to IRS contribution limits): Employees are immediately vested in a 3% company contribution of base earnings. No employee match is required. After one year of service, employees receive an additional 7% company contribution of base earnings.
