Sanitation Team Member

Job Details: Level: Entry, Salary Range: Undisclosed, The Sanitation Aid plays a vital role in ensuring food safety and quality by maintaining a clean and sanitary environment throughout the facility. This position is responsible for cleaning and sanitizing equipment, production areas, and other designated areas in compliance with company policies and food safety regulations.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Perform cleaning and sanitation of food processing equipment, tools, utensils, and surfaces according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Disassemble and reassemble equipment as needed to ensure thorough cleaning. Clean floors, walls, drains, ceilings, and other facility areas. Safely handle and use cleaning chemicals in accordance with safety protocols.

Follow all safety guidelines and use proper personal protective equipment (PPE). Report maintenance or safety issues to supervisor immediately. Assist with waste management tasks as required. Support production staff by ensuring the work environment is clean and sanitized.

Qualifications

Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent preferred but not required. Prior experience in food manufacturing or sanitation preferred but not required. Basic understanding of cleaning chemicals and safety procedures. Ability to read, understand, and follow instructions and procedures. Good communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Physical Requirements: Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 lbs. Frequent standing, walking, bending, stooping, and climbing. Ability to work in wet, cold, or hot environments for extended periods. Use of hands to handle or feel tools and cleaning equipment.

Work Schedule: Full-time / Part-time / Shift-based (as applicable) Must be available to work nights, weekends, and holidays as needed. Work Environment: This position operates in a food production facility and involves exposure to cleaning chemicals, moving machinery, and temperature variations.
