Bakery Associate

Description Job Title: Bakery Associate Department: Bakery FLSA: Non-Exempt Reports to: Bakery Manager Starting at $15 an hour Summary/Objective: Ensure practices are being followed in support of the food safety program; maintain equipment; keep bakery area neat and orderly. Efficiently produce large quantities of bakery products each day.

Primary production processes are panning up dough, shaping/scoring dough, proofing, and baking, topping, sheeting, frying of donuts, pastries, and breads. Primary packaging processes are panning up finished products by store category as well as packaging retail packs, boxes, printing labels, etc.

Ability to tolerate extreme temperatures. Exposure to cleaning solvents. Role Qualifications: Communication skills necessary to produce food products in a safe and efficient manner. Must be at least 18 years of age Must have reliable transportation Preferred Experience: Must have bakery/food service related experience.

Certified food handler Minimum Education Requirements: High school diploma, GED, or the equivalent Required Skills: Situational awareness Strong customer orientation Strong team player Commitment to company mission and values Basic mathematical Constructively deals with conflict Adaptability; flexibility and receptive to change Physical Requirements: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to stand for prolonged periods; work longer than eight (8) hour shifts, reach, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch; talk and hear; taste and smell.

The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to focus.
