Part-Time General Education Instructor

• Sociology Position Summary: The instructor teaches one or more sociology courses as scheduled, providing student advising and support, participating in outreach and attendance initiatives, and completing professional development.

Requirements

A Master degree in sociology or a related discipline, with at least 15-18 postgraduate credit hours completed in the subject area being taught At least 3 years of experience in the field Prior postsecondary education teaching experience is preferred but not required Excellent written and verbal communication skills Familiarity with various instructional technologies, or the ability to quickly adapt to and learn technology, such as Canvas, Campus.

Vue, etc Strong organizational and planning skills. Team player who demonstrates initiative, dependability, and reliability.
