Java Architect

Responsibilities

for a Java Architect

• Design end-to-end application architecture and ensure alignment with business objectives, scalability, security, and performance requirements.
• Lead the design and implementation of distributed, microservices-based, cloud-native applications using Java, Spring Boot, and related technologies.
• Mentor development teams, conduct architecture and code reviews, establish best practices, and guide teams in resolving complex technical challenges.
• Work closely with product owners, business stakeholders, project managers, and engineering teams to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
• Lead the adoption of AI-powered development tools and coding agents across engineering teams. Establish standards, governance, and best practices for AI-assisted software development.
• Remain actively involved in software development by designing and coding critical application components, conducting code reviews, and providing technical leadership. Must Have Skills
• Strong expertise in Java 17/21, Spring Boot, Spring Cloud.
• Experience designing Microservices Architecture.
• Cloud experience with Azure.
• Knowledge of Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka or RabbitMQ).
• Strong understanding of API design & security.
• Experience with Containers and Kubernetes. Note: Recommend prioritizing candidates who have hands-on experience building and architecting applications, not just supporting or maintaining existing systems.
