Charge Nurse 4 West

Night Shift 36 hours per week Job Summary: Effectively leads the patient care team to achieve optimum patient outcomes during their shift. Assumes responsibilities as delegated by the Director including direction, supervision and delegation of clinical and non-clinical responsibilities to staff. Facilitates effective communication and resolution of work site operation issues that support Baptist Health Madisonville in its strategic initiatives.

Minimum Education, Experience, Training, and Licensures Required: Graduate from an accredited School of Nursing required. Current licensure as a Registered Nurse by the Kentucky Board of Nursing or compact state license required. BLS required. ACLS is preferred within 3 months, not to exceed 6 months. Medi Port certified required within 6 months of hire or transfer.

*Current employees have 6 months to complete as of 8/12/2026. Certification in area of expertise preferred. Avade workplace violence prevention training ( Level III) required after hire or transfer, not to exceed 3 months, and maintained annually. Training provided in-house. EXPERIENCE: Two years of experience in related area preferred.

OTHER QUALIFICATIONS: Demonstrated leadership qualities at current level of practice and good interpersonal and communication skills.
