Rigging/Equipment Install Estimator

Job Summary

We are seeking a process equipment estimator with automotive experience to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing estimates for rigging and machinery installation projects, ensuring accurate and competitive bids, and development of detailed project estimates.

Key Responsibilities

Analyze project specifications, drawings, and other documentation to prepare cost estimates. Develop comprehensive estimates for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor services. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and clients to gather all necessary information for accurate estimates. Conduct site visits to understand project requirements and constraints.

Evaluate and select subcontractors and vendors based on price, quality, and reliability. Identify potential project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Present estimates and cost plans to senior management for review and submission to clients. Maintain and update a database of historical cost information for use in future estimates.

Stay current with industry trends, pricing, and best practices in rigging and machinery moving. Promotes a strong safety culture and collaborates with the safety department to facilitate project requirements.

Qualifications

Construction experience managing and estimating equipment installation projects in the automotive and industrial sectors. Preferably with Ford, GM & Stellantis Strong knowledge of rigging techniques, equipment, and safety standards. Strong analytical and mathematics skills. Proficiency in estimating software and Microsoft Office Suite.

Strong communication and negotiation skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously. Attention to detail and a commitment to high quality work.
