JOB SUMMARY

Chowan University invites applications for a full-time, in-person, 9-month faculty appointment in the Department of Criminal Justice. The appointment will be made at the rank of Assistant Professor (tenure-track) or Instructor (non-tenure track), depending on the qualifications of the successful candidate.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and academic advising Ability to integrate technology and innovative teaching methods into the curriculum. Willingness to collaborate with colleagues to enhance academic programs. REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

A Master’s in Criminal Justice or related field is required. A Ph. D. in Criminal Justice is preferred. Experience teaching at the university level is preferred.
